With an ever-growing shortage of doctors in the NHS, an increasing number need to be recruited - with foreign doctors queuing up to plug the gaps. But just how easy is it for international doctors to work in the UK? Shot over 10 months, this film, which boasts access to the General Medical Council and an exclusive medical training academy, follows the stories of doctors from Brazil to Egypt as they adjust to life in the UK, get to grips with a new health system, culture and language, and study for their exam. The doctors have spent thousands of pounds travelling to the UK. Training proves much tougher than they thought, and most of them are astonished to discover the expectations of British patients. Will all their hard work earn them a pass? And will they land a job in the NHS?
