[edit] Information

Rosemary Keswick is sure that the combined Measles Mumps and Rubella vaccine is responsible for the condition of her son William. She was one of the first to contact scientist Dr Andrew Wakefield, who is now famous for suggesting how MMR might lead to autism.

For years the anti-MMR campaigners and the British medical establishment have been at loggerheads. The establishment has a vast array of statistics that they say proves that MMR is safe. Dr Wakefield claims that he has hard scientific evidence that links MMR to autism - in particular a new form of bowel disease found in some autistic children and the presence of the measles virus in their guts and blood.

Campaigners insist the truth cannot be found until autistic children are properly, scientifically investigated. Now that science is being done, it could finally provide convincing answers, and help parents to decide whether to give their children the jab or not.
